Ketakutan yang tidak perlu (Unnecessary fears)

Markus 4:35
Pada hari itu, waktu hari sudah petang, Yesus berkata kepada mereka: "Marilah kita bertolak ke seberang.,

Ketika Yesus mengajak kita untuk mengikuti Dia lalu kita mengikuti Dia, kadang kita lupa siapa Dia. Saat kita melangkah ke dalam "perahu iman" itu, kita tahu bahwa 1. Yesus yang mengajak kita, 2. Yesus juga naik perahu yang sama, 3. Yesus maha kuasa. Ketika "badai hidup" melanda, saat kita ketakutan, sungguh itulah ketakutan yang tidak perlu.

Para murid-murid yang notabene sebagian besar nelayan sampai ketakutan berteriak-teriak pada Yesus.  Mereka bahkan berseru Tuhan kau tak peduli kita binasa? Karena saat itu Yesus tertidur di perahu.

Markus 4:37-38
Lalu mengamuklah taufan yang sangat dahsyat dan ombak menyembur masuk ke dalam perahu, sehingga perahu itu mulai penuh dengan air.
Pada waktu itu Yesus sedang tidur di buritan di sebuah tilam. Maka murid-murid-Nya membangunkan Dia dan berkata kepada-Nya: "Guru, Engkau tidak perduli kalau kita binasa?"

Nelayan ketakutan badai tentu bukan badai biasa. Tapi ketiduran dalam ombang-ambing badai juga bukan orang biasa, terlebih ketika beberapa kata saja cukup meneduhkan badai itu. Bagi kita badai menakutkan, bagai Yesus itu bagai ayunan nina bobo.

Markus 4:39
Ia pun bangun, menghardik angin itu dan berkata kepada danau itu: "Diam! Tenanglah!" Lalu angin itu reda dan danau itu menjadi teduh sekali.

Ingat, 1. Yesus yang mengajak kita, 2. Yesus turut bersama kita, 3. Yesus adalah Tuhan yang maha kuasa. Marilah kita percaya dan membuang ketakutan yang tidak perlu itu. Tuhan memberkati.

Mark 4:35

On that day, when it was already evening, Jesus said to them: "Let us leave to the other side.,

When Jesus calls us to follow Him and we follow Him, we sometimes forget who He is. The moment we stepped into the "boat of faith", we know that 1. Jesus invites us, 2. Jesus also ride the same boat, 3. Jesus almighty. When the "storms of life" struck, as we fear, the fear that's really unnecessary.

The students were in fact mostly fishermen to fear yelling at him. They even cried Lord you do not care if we perish? Since that time he fell asleep on the boat.

Mark 4: 37-38

Then And a very powerful storm and the waves gushed into the boat, so the boat was beginning to fill with water.

At that time Jesus was in the stern on a cushion. Then the disciples woke him and said to him, "Teacher, do not you care if we drown?"

Fishermen fear the storm certainly not an ordinary storm. But overslept in swing tide of storm is not an ordinary person, especially when a few words are enough calm the storm. Scary storm for us, like Jesus was like swing lullabies.

Mark 4:39

He got up, rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, "Quiet! Be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

Remember, 1. Jesus invites us, 2. Jesus participate with us, 3. Jesus is God Almighty. Let us believe and discard unnecessary fear it. God bless.

Roh Kudus untuk kamu! (Holy Spirit is for you)

Aku akan minta kepada Bapa, dan Ia akan memberikan kepadamu seorang Penolong yang lain, supaya Ia menyertai kamu selama-lamanya, yaitu Roh Kebenaran.

Yohanes 14:16-18

Aku akan minta kepada Bapa, dan Ia akan memberikan kepadamu seorang Penolong yang lain, supaya Ia menyertai kamu selama-lamanya, yaitu Roh Kebenaran. Dunia tidak dapat menerima Dia, sebab dunia tidak melihat Dia dan tidak mengenal Dia. Tetapi kamu mengenal Dia, sebab Ia menyertai kamu dan akan diam di dalam kamu.  Aku tidak akan meninggalkan kamu sebagai yatim piatu. Aku datang kembali kepadamu.

Kisah Para Rasul 2:1-4

Ketika tiba hari Pentakosta, semua orang percaya berkumpul di satu tempat.  Tiba-tiba turunlah dari langit suatu bunyi seperti tiupan angin keras yang memenuhi seluruh rumah, di mana mereka duduk; dan tampaklah kepada mereka lidah-lidah seperti nyala api yang bertebaran dan hinggap pada mereka masing-masing.  Maka penuhlah mereka dengan Roh Kudus, lalu mereka mulai berkata-kata dalam bahasa-bahasa lain, seperti yang diberikan oleh Roh itu kepada mereka untuk mengatakannya.

Apakah kita mengerti dan tahu bahwa kita memiliki Seorang Penolong yang luar biasa?

Ketika Yesus dijanjikan sebagai Imanuel yaitu Allah beserta kita, maka benar-benar Dia tidak meninggalkan kita. Dia naik ke sorga namun pribadi yang setara dan selalu bersama-sama Allah pun turun memastikan janji Imanuel tetap berlaku. Itulah Roh Kudus sendiri.

Siapa Roh Kudus?

1. Seorang (pribadi) Penolong yang dari Sorga (dari Bapa).
2. Bersifat kekal, menyertai selama-lamanya.
3. Berwujud Roh Kebenaran, artinya suci, kudus, teguh, mutlak, tolak ukur benar.
4. Berlawanan dengan dunia. Tentu saja karena duniawi tidak sama dengan sorgawi. Dunia tidak mengerti dan tidak menerima Dia.
5. Dimana Roh Kudus berdiam? Di dalam hati orang percaya! Bukan di patung, bangunan, alam, hewan dll. Sejak awal dicurahkan pada hari Pentakosta, bahkan sebelumnyapun, Roh Kudus berdiam dalam manusia yang beriman.
6. Kehadiran Roh Kudus sama saja dengan kehadiran Tuhan Yesus. Seperti kata-Nya, Aku datang kembali. Sehingga segala kehebatan Tuhan Yesus semasa bertubuh manusia sekarang bahkan kini tersebar dalam tubuh tiap orang-orang percaya, yaitu kasih, kuasa, hikmat, mukjizat, kekudusan, dll.

Roh Kudus itu untuk kita. Bayangkan hidup tanpa-Nya di dunia ini. Tanpa Penolong, tanpa Pengingat, tanpa Kekuatan, tanpa Harapan akan hidup kekal di sorga. Betapa kita akan terseret dan tenggelam dalam dunia yang menuju kebinasaannya.

Apakah anda sudah "memanfaatkan" anugerah Roh Kudus ini? Jika kita seorang Kristen, kita beruntung sekali, jika dan hanya jika kita menyadarinya. Amin.

Translation to English.

I will ask the Father, and he will give one another Helper, that He is with you forever, the Spirit of truth.

John 14:16-18  

And I will make prayer to the Father and he will give you another Helper to be with you for ever, Even the Spirit of true knowledge. That Spirit the world is not able to take to its heart because it sees him not and has no knowledge of him: but you have knowledge of him, because he is ever with you and will be in you. I will not let you be without a friend: I am coming to you.

Acts 2:1-4 

And when the day of Pentecost was come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like the rushing of a violent wind, and all the house where they were was full of it. And they saw tongues, like flames of fire, coming to rest on every one of them. And they were all full of the Holy Spirit, and were talking in different languages, as the Spirit gave them power.

Do we understand and know that we have An extraordinary Helper?

When Jesus promised as Immanuel-God with us, then truly He did not leave us. He ascended into heaven, but another equal Personal which always together with God ever since, came down to make sure the promise of Immanuel remain valid. That is the Holy Spirit himself.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

1. A (personal) Helper from heaven (from the Father).
2. Eternal, accompanying forever.
3. In form as Spirit of truth, is without false, holy, unwavering, absolute, true measurement.
4. Contrary to the world. For sure worldly is never the same to Heavenly. The world does not understand and does not accept him.
5. Where the Holy Spirit dwells? In the hearts of believers! Not at statues, buildings, nature, animals, etc. Since the beginning when poured out at Pentecost, even before that, the Holy Spirit dwells in a man of faith.
6. The Spirit's presence is tantamount to the presence of the Lord Jesus. Like he said, I came back. So that all the greatness of the Lord Jesus during bodied of man, even now spread within the body of each believer, which are: love, the power, wisdom, miracles, holiness, etc.

Holy Spirit is for us. Imagine life without him in this world. Without Helper, without Reminders, without Strength, without hope of eternal life in heaven. How we will be dragged and immersed in a world that is heading into destruction.

Do you have "use" the gift of the Holy Spirit? If we are Christians, we are lucky, if and only we realize. Amen.
